- He advised women to be content with their skin colours
Uganda President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who has ruled the East African nation with an iron fist bears another lighter face beyond radical politics.
Known for his rebellious fight for democracy in the landlocked country, Museveni does not miss a chance to put aside politics and venture into other murky waters.
A strong anti-same sexual and oral sex campaigner, Museveni shot another salvo at women who dislike their black skin colour and thus prefer to bleach to have a lighter pigment. In a series of tweets seen by TUKO.co.ke, Museveni told women to stop bleaching their skin, explaining they have to stay as they are because that’s how God wanted them to be.
He said bleaching would cause serious troubles to those who engage in it.
“To the women, please stop bleaching your skin. Let your skin colour remain as it was created by God. Bleaching will cause you a lot of trouble” he posted on his Twitter page.In Kenya, popular socialite Vera Sidika is known to have bleached to change her skin pigment from dark to lighter pigment.
She is also on record as having said she underwent plastic surgery to enhance her bust and hips.
